Literacy:
Annotated
Listing of Resources Appropriate
for Learners with Intellectual/Developmental
Challenges compiled by Richard
Lockert
Inclusive
Literacy was developed as a
result of the SARC Literacy
Needs Project to promote literacy
building opportunities for persons
with intellectual/developmental
disabilities; and to describe
appropriate literacy resource
materials available for persons
with intellectual/developmental
disabilities.
The manual contains an alphabetical
listing of topics and a listing
of resources within each topic,
as well as a listing of titles.
The four resource priorities
are: categories of resources,
subject areas/topics, key characteristics,
and availability. This resource
was developed in partnership
by the Saskatchewan Association
of Rehabilitation Centres (SARC)
and the National Literacy Secretariat,
1999.
Extensive
listing of resource materials.
Very user friendly and comprehensive.
