Mind Your Manners Series®

Mind Your Manners encourages social success and acceptance through proper social behaviour with the everyday situations portrayed in the program. In addition to learning the specific rules for interacting with others, individuals will also see that the essence of manners is based on concern and thoughtfulness towards others. This concept is applied to occasions such as manners at school, in public, during greetings and when conversing with others. This program illustrates classically right and wrong ways to interact with others that are humorous yet informative. The series provides a basic foundation in acceptable manners what will be used daily.
Videos dramatize both good and bad manners using light-hearted approach in portraying bad manners. The series entertains and involves the viewers while educating.
Most programs consist of 2 or 3 vignettes of bad manners and good manners. To enhance retention it is encourage that each video be shown a second time, replaying the tape and stopping it for discussion, and role play after each vignette.
A manner checklist is provided as an assessment tool and the Manner Matrix compiles what are considered basic good manners in five areas of daily living . . . By using the manner matrix as a planning tool, you can systematically assure that the participants achieve the behavioural objectives that are most important.
