PATH: A Workbook for Planning Positive Possible Futures outlines the Planning Alternative Tomorrows with Hope (PATH) process in depth. PATH is a creative planning tool which starts in the future and works backwards to an outcome of first steps that are positive and possible. Color graphics are used to develop the PATH; an example is included in the manual. PATH in Action - Working with Groups is a one hour video which demonstrates the PATH process as it was used to undertake an intensive future planning process for a High School in Yellowknife, N.W.T. This video is recommended as the essential PATH Training Video as it demonstrates "setting the tone", "setting boundaries", and the 8 Path Steps which conclude with an immediately "do-able" first action step. The PATH Training Video: Joe's PATH takes the viewer through the steps of PATH. PATH was designed to deal with complex issues for individuals, families, and organizations. Although the video uses Joe as an example of the process it can be easily transferred to any situation.
