Accessibility ABLEDATA primary mission is to provide information on assistive technology and rehabilitation equipment available from domestic (US) and international sources to consumers, organizations, professionals, and caregivers. Accessible Housing Society is a Calgary-based non-profit organization and registered charity with a mandate to create opportunities for safe, affordable, barrier-free housing for people experiencing mobility problems. Informed Consumer's Guide to Accessible Housing purpose is to examine what accessible housing is, to discuss the types of products available to achieve accessibility, etc. It is a broad introduction to the legal and practical aspects of accessible housing. An extensive resource listing is included. Physical Accessibility Standards Information is available from the Human Rights Commission, in Saskatchewan. By contacting the Human Rights Commission (306 787-4113) you can obtain copies of their free literature including: Physical Accessibility Standards Guidelines; A Guide To Accessibility Law; Barrier-Free Washrooms; Barrier-Free Ramps. . . . Universal Access Consulting is a Saskatchewan based consulting firm which specializes in "Universal Design" which simply put means "designing to accommodate the greatest range of the population possible". Universal design features, when incorporated into facilities allow everyone equal access to all of the environments features.
