Inclusion/Friendships Best Buddies - Vrais Copains Canada is a national charitable organization that fosters friendships between adults with intellectual disabilities and university and college students. Best Buddies facilitates social contact by organising group activities on campuses, as well as, by paring individuals on a one-on-one basis. Communities For Everyone the practical suggestions and success stories included in this publication will assist community members to do what needs to be done to transform communities into inclusive, enabling environments in which everyone's participation is welcome and valued. Inclusive Post-Secondary Education has become and is becoming an option for adults with developmental disabilities. Programs varying in format but the underlying belief is that individuals should have the opportunity to pursue a dream of pursuing further education by attending college or university. That's What Friends Are For is a powerful video that presents scenes of older persons with developmental disabilities and their non-handicapped companions discussing their mutual satisfaction of their friendships and the positive contributions they have made together.
